10th seed Cameron Norrie takes on 14th seed Frances Tiafoe in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Indian Wells on Wednesday.
The British No. 1 began the campaign with a comfortable 6-2, 6-4 win against Tung-Lin Wu in the round of 64. Norrie went on to beat Taro Daniel in the round of 32 after dropping the first set. The southpaw followed it up with an impressive win against 6th seed Andrey Rublev. Tiafoe followed it up with another one-sided victory against Jason Kubler in the round of 32, winning 6-3, 6-2. Tiafoe smashed 9 aces and had a win percentage of 75 in this match. He also converted 3 out of 3 break points.
In the round of 16, Tiafoe put on a solid performance to beat Alejandro Tabilo 6-4, 6-4. Once again, Tiafoe converted 3 out of 3 break points and bettered his win percentage on the first serve to 77.
