Predicted Tottenham XI to face Brighton in the Premier League

Tottenham return to league action when they welcome Brighton for a late Sunday kick-off. The Lilywhites are coming on the back of an unexpected loss in their Europa League encounter with Royal Antwerp. They were in good form prior to that game.

Brighton haven’t enjoyed a good start to the season with just the one win in six games so far. They have drawn their last two games and would not be keen to face this Spurs side. Mourinho’s side are expected to trump them but you never know in the Premier League.

Team News

Only Japhet Tanganga remains out with injury. Other than that, Mourinho will have all of his options available. Changes will be expected though, with most of the regular starters coming back to the fold after what happened in midweek.

Probable Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Keeps his place between the sticks from the last game despite the loss.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

Alderweireld will have to start this one as Ben Davies’ howler directly contributed to Spurs’ loss.

Eric Dier (CB)

Rested for the last European outing. Will be expected to return to his duties for this one.

Matt Doherty (RB)

Another player who might be restored to the line-up after Aurier’s tepid performance in the last game.

Sergio Reguilon (LB)

Should keep his place as he was one of the better performers for the side in the loss.

Moussa Sissoko (DM)

Likely to replace Winks, who offered next to nothing. The Frenchman comes with bags of energy and his running will be of vital importance.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (DM)

The former Southampton man does not look one bit tired after so many games. Will be expected to line up once again.

Tanguy Ndombele (CAM)

Another player who was sent on at half-time to change the course of the match. Should end up starting this one though.

Lucas Moura (RW)

Should be given the nod ahead of Bale, who looks like he is still struggling to get into his stride.

Heung-Min Son (LW)

The prolific South Korean is expected to be back as a part of Mourinho’s wholesale changes from the last game.

Harry Kane (ST)

While Carlos Vinicius didn’t do much wrong, he didn’t contribute much either. Spurs’ talismanic striker will be raring to go after playing just the few minutes in midweek.
