Predicted Tottenham XI to face West Ham in the Premier League

Tottenham return to Premier League action when they take on West Ham on Sunday. Spurs would be rather buoyant after what was one of their best performances against Manchester United, where they put them to the sword.

Meanwhile, West Ham themselves are coming on the back of a resounding win over Leicester. This promises to be an intriguing fixture with both teams in good form. Jose Mourinho would be wary of taking Moyes’ team lightly as they have won their last 2 games.

Team News

A couple of injury issues means Jose Mourinho will be scratching his head. Eric Dier and Japhet Tanganga’s injuries mean that Spurs will be left with only two natural centre-backs. Giovani Lo Celso could be a doubt for the game. Elsewhere, Gareth Bale could be in line to make his much-awaited second debut for the club. Expect him to be involved in some capacity.

Probable Spurs XI

Formation: 3-4-3

Hugo Lloris (GK)

The number one retains his place between the sticks. Could not do much to prevent the penalty last time around.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

Returns to replace Eric Dier after watching the last one from the sidelines.

Davinson Sanchez (CB)

Will be hoping to not hack down any forward in this game like he did in the last game, thereby conceding a penalty.

Matt Doherty (RB)

Another player who might return to the fold after sitting out the last game. Likely to replace Aurier on the right.

Sergio Reguilon (LB)

A constant menace down the left, Reguilon will again be vital to Spurs’ attack and defence.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM)

The way he suffocated Manchester United’s midfield was truly extraordinary. Did not allow one bit of space for the likes of Pogba and Fernandes to do anything. Goes without saying that he retains his place.

Moussa Sissoko (CM)

Hojbjerg’s partner in crime as he looks to build a great partnership with the Dane in the middle of the park.

Tanguy Ndombele (CM)

He has featured more regularly in recent games. Scored the equaliser in the last game and got the ball rolling.

Son Heung-Min (LW)

Mourinho threw a curveball by throwing in Son despite doubts over his availability. Had a ball of a game and will look to continue the same way.

Gareth Bale (RW)

The one that fans have been eagerly waiting to see. The prodigal son wearing their shirt again.

Harry Kane (ST)

Kane is on a purple patch and will be Spurs’ chief threat alongside Son.
