After a strong season at the Vitality Stadium, Ryan Fraser has attracted a lot of interest from English clubs, including Newcastle United. The diminutive Scotsman has netted seven goals and assisted 14 times in the Premier League this season.

His departure at the end of the season will leave a huge void in the Bournemouth squad which Eddie Howe will need to fill ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Can Marcus Tavernier replace Fraser at Bournemouth next season? He definitely has the potential to achieve bigger things and Eddie Howe should definitely make a move for the 20-year-old in the summer.

Howe has forged a reputation of snapping up highly-rated youngsters from lower divisions of English football in recent years, with the likes of Callum Wilson, David Brooks and Chris Mepham stand as glaring examples. Just like Fraser, Brooks has been fantastic for the Cherries, quickly adapting to the demands of the Premier League.

Tavernier is a raw player but there are bags of potential in him. The 20-year-old is a versatile wide-man, who can operate on either wing or also play as a left-back, if required.

He has also played in central midfield for Middlesbrough, thus, giving any manager the tactical flexibility. Very quick off the mark, the 20-year-old combines his explosive pace with impressive close control and dribbling skills, making him very hard to defend against.
