Hubert Hurkacz started playing tennis at the tender age of 5 after his mother introduced him to it. Finally, in 2015, Hurkacz turned pro and established himself as a talented young Polish tennis player of his generation. Notably, in his childhood tennis journey, Hurkacz considered Roger Federer as his inspiration.
The year 2018 was a big breakthrough year for Hurkacz. He played in the French Open, the US Open, and the 2018 Next Generation ATP Finals held in Milan. At the end of the 2018 season, Hurkacz received a nomination for the ATP Newcomer of the Year Award.
In 2019, Hurkacz won his first ATP title in Winston-Salem. Also, in 2019, he made his top 40 rankings debut.
