Predicted 4-4-1-1 Bournemouth XI to face Arsenal in the Premier League

Bournemouth will face a tough test when they play host to an in-form Arsenal side in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Cherries will be desperate to get something out of this fixture after suffering back-to-back defeats at the hands of Manchester United and Newcastle United before the international break.

Arsenal are currently unbeaten in 16 games across all competitions and the Gunners will be the favourites to claim all three points on Sunday.

Team News

Josh King has trained with the squad and is in contention to return following an ankle injury which had sidelined him for the last four games. Junior Stanislas is suffering from a groin strain and his selection will be subject to a late fitness test.

Adam Smith is ruled out for at least three months due to a tear in his knee cartilage.

Predicted XI

1. Asmir Begovic (GK)

The veteran has been in good form between the sticks and is expected to retain his position between the sticks.

2. Simon Francis (RB)

He was a bit below-par in the last game and will have a tough battle in his hands to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyan at bay.

3. Nathan Ake (CB)

The Dutchman has been in prime form this season and it will be interesting to see how he copes with the threat of Lacazette.

4. Steve Cook (CB)

The Englishman has put in multiple solid shifts in the heart of the defence alongside Ake and he will be expected to continue his good form on Sunday.

5. Charlie Daniels (LB)

The veteran did well earlier in the season and will be expected to slot into the backline in place of the injured Adam Smith.

6. Jefferson Lerma (CDM)

The Colombian’s tenacity, strength and aerial ability are invaluable assets to the Cherries in the heart of midfield.

7. Lewis Cook (CDM)

The English youngster hasn’t been at the top of his game this season and he will need to improve to compete with the likes of Xhaka and Torreira on Sunday.

8. Ryan Fraser (LM)

He has been Bournemouth’s assist king this season and has added that much-needed impetus to the attack with his surging runs and accurate crosses.
