Taron Malicos Overview
When you first come across Taron Malicos on the planet Dathmoir, he would be disguised as a traveler who is exploring and studying “many things” and to identify his disguise you would realize that one of the things he is studying is about the Nightsister. He would warn you from entering the ruins and you don’t listen to him and enter the ruins anyway.
However, even after entering the ruins he would come around and taunt you about what you did. Now, since he is following you, it’s high time you ask him who he actually is and reveals his identity. To your surprise, you will know that he is the former Jedi leader of Nightbrotger, Taron Malicos.
After this, you won’t encounter Malicos again until later. However, the next time you meet him be ready for a boss fight in Malicos’ boss arena.
How to defeat Taron Malicos in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Malicos has various attacks up his sleeve that you would have to block or suffer throughout the fight. But don’t worry as we have covered the tactics for you to defeat Taron Malicos in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Malicos will rapidly attack you once you encounter him, so you better up your defensive skills. He will jump up in the air when he uses his attacks and you would not be able to block his air attacks. Since his attacks from the air will be coming at you strongly you would need time to dodge them well, so make sure you don’t get hit by his attacks
Before you start attacking him, make sure to unlock the “Increase All Lightsaber Damage” skill which would cost you 3 points. You will find it at the top of the skill tree. This shall help you to double your attacks and defeat the boss in much less time. It would be very difficult to take on a fight with Malicos without this skillet.
Taron Malicos tends to become more powerful when he jumps in the air and turns red. Thus, it’s advised that besides dodging the attacks with basic movements like rolling back and jumping aside, it’s suggested that you also stay close to him because if you go too far from his sight he will throw boulders at you.
When Malicos is in his half health, his attack combos increase and you will have to wait till then to attack him. He will throw a solid rock at you which you can hurl back at him by using Force Push. This should give him a lot of damage You can simply buy time blocking his lightsaber attacks and wait till he runs out of stamina. At this time you can use the double-bladed lightsaber and hit him twice with it or use Force powers to hit his stamina to the lowest level.
