Predicted 4-2-2-2 Watford XI to face Manchester City in the Premier League

Watford suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Leicester City away from home in the Premier League last week.

Javi Gracia’s men slipped to 10th in the Premier League standings as a result of the defeat and the Hornets will be up against it big time when they play host to Manchester City on Tuesday night.

Manchester City continued their dominance at the top of the table with a comfortable 3-1 win over Bournemouth last week and the Citizens will be the outright favourites to claim three points from Tuesday’s clash.

Team News

Watford will be without the services of Etienne Capoue who was sent off in the last game while Tom Cleverly is ruled out with a long-term injury. Daryl Janmaat is back to training and he will be assessed ahead of Tuesday’s clash.

1. Ben Foster (GK)

The veteran has done a decent job between the sticks but will need to be at the top of his game to deny City a goal on Tuesday.

2. Adam Masina (LB)

He has looked solid defensively in recent weeks and he should continue in place of Jose Holebas.

3. Craig Cathcart (CB)

The Englishman’s aerial ability is a valuable asset to Watford’s backline.

4. Adrian Mariappa (CB)

The veteran has put in some solid shifts at the back in the last few games and Gracia should hand him a start ahead of Christian Kabasele.
