We are just getting into Genshin Impact 2.1 update. But we already have some leaks about Genshin Impact 2.2. Here is everything we know so far.
In Genshin Impact 2.1, we were introduced to 2 new characters – Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi. Two new islands with two bosses and a weekly boss – La Signora were also introduced in the Genshin Impact 2.1 update. Fans are expecting more new content and characters for them to enjoy. But according to the leakers of Genshin Impact, there won’t be much of that in this update. But likely, we will get to see some much needed character reruns.
New Characters
Right after our entry into the Inazuma region, the players were greeted by the loyal servant of Kamisato Ayaka. He is a Pyro polearm user called Thoma. According to Genshin Impact 2.2 leaks, Thoma will be obtainable in the next update. This was confirmed by many other leaks and also by Mihoyo. As Mihoyo follows a pattern of releasing the character poster for the new upcoming characters on Twitter.
New Island
According to the Genshin Impact lore, there are a total of seven islands in the Inazuma region controlled by the Raiden Shogun. Till now the players were able to explore six of the seven islands, with two being introduced in the last update. According to the Genshin Impact 2.2 leaks, players will also be able to explore the final island of the Inazuma region called the Tsurumi Island. Some footage of the Island was leaked on Reddit.
Character Reruns
The only way to get new characters in Genshin Impact is through the gacha system. Players have to spend 160 primogems to make one wish. But the odds of getting the desired characters are very less. This is especially noticeable if you are trying to get a particular 5-star character. Players have been urging Mihoyo to make some character reruns so that the players can obtain these characters or their constellation. According to the Genshin Impact 2.2 leaks, the Pyro polearm wielder Hu Tao and the Hydro Bow user Childe are most likely to be the character that the players will be able to obtain in Genshin Impact 2.2
