Anime Release Date

After its debut season of Gate, many anime fans are eagerly awaiting its sequel. The show tells the tale of modern Japan being invaded by soldiers and monsters through an opening in Ginza district; when this portal closes the JSDF is sent in to stop invaders while helping citizens. Fans love its unique concept – there have been no announcements from A1 Pictures yet regarding when or if Gate will return; but hopefully soon.

Four years have passed since Otaku Captain Yoji Itami closed the Gate successfully. Now the JSDF is seeking to establish cordial relations between worlds. Captain Goro Edajima of JMSDF and Petty Officer Tokujima from JSDF have joined together as members of their team; other popular characters such as Princess Pina Co Lada, Rory Mercury and Tuka Luna Marceau have not been officially excluded yet but any possibilities cannot be ruled out completely.

Divine Gate began as an addictive smartphone game that quickly won over thousands of players around the world, becoming one of the highest-rated action RPG smartphones games at that time. Due to this success, it soon evolved into manga and eventually anime series which received high critical acclaim as well as being popular among viewers; furthermore, its success inspired several spin-off series.

Manga Release Date

GATE was originally released as an anime season five years ago, and has now been transformed into manga series by Takumi Yanai under the title Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri – it blends elements from modern-day Japan with fantasy elements resulting in one of the most successful fantasy/sci-fi series ever!

The manga follows in the footsteps of both its anime counterpart and follows otaku military man Yoji Itami on his new mission in Special Region seas aboard Oyashio-Type submarine Kitsashi. Soon thereafter Yoji and his crew become embroiled in island politics as well as attacked by pirates.

Gate: Weigh Anchor is the sequel to Gate that centers around Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force instead of JSDF and brings back in focus Yoji Itami’s character as well. If it proves popular enough it may even become an anime adaptation!

However, it should be noted that the manga series hasn’t been updated since 2021 due to a canceled smartphone game – Divine Gate – which provided its source material. If a studio wants to create another season of this show they must create their own original content for it.

Will There Be a Gate Anime Season 3?

Though only airing for two seasons, this anime has amassed an enormous fan base that longs to see season three. Unfortunately, however, its production remains uncertain due to novelist Yanai only concluding book five and offering side stories focused on different characters; but author Yanai has expressed interest in creating new material focused on protagonist Yoji Itami.

The Gate anime takes place in an alternate reality where fantasy and reality collide. Present-day Tokyo experiences an interdimensional rift which allows warriors and monsters to invade from another dimension, prompting Japanese self-defense forces to launch an aggressive counterattack to save their motherland from further infiltration. At its heart lies 33-year-old Itami who boasts impressive one-on-one fighting abilities as well as leadership capacities – his story serves as its centerpiece.

He excels at foreseeing potential threats before they materialize and has exceptional intelligence, making Itami an admired leader among both soldiers and the general public alike. Along with Itami, other notable characters in the Gate anime include Rory Mercury, Lelei La Lalena, Tuka Luna Marceau and Princess Pina Co Lada – each possessing their own talents that help make him such an exceptional leader.

Success of the anime has led to numerous spin-offs and even manga series based on it, while fans and critics alike lauded its storylines – earning praise on IMDb ratings as well. Such positive reception has sparked speculation regarding a possible third season.

Anime Release Schedule

Takumi Yanai’s GATE: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri light novel series made its anime adaptation debut on July 4, 2015. Since its highly successful first season run, Crunchyroll has begun airing 24 episodes from season 2.

Story begins when an unexpected gate opens up in Ginza, Tokyo and becomes home to fantasy creatures from another realm. To establish negotiations with their rulers and establish peace among these disparate realms, JSDF representatives were dispatched. Lieutenant Youji Itami led this effort with his team; an avid anime fan himself, Itami wasn’t scared to face down his foes head on!

As Itami battles his rival for Princess Pina Co Lada’s affections, he gains more insight into the magical world he lives in. It seems that every few centuries or millennia, the gods of the Special Region would open a portal through Alnus Hill that allowed races from other planets to settle there; hence why there are so many races living there today.
