Daniel Ricciardo has claimed his pride wasn’t hurt by defeat to his young teammate Lando Norris

Norris finished the 2021 season at sixth spot in the driver’s standings with 160 points. On the flipside, Ricciardo just managed to accumulate 115 points throughout the season and finished eighth on the standings. Talking about the same, the Australian has revealed his pride wasn’t hurt by Norris finishing above him. He said (h/t GPFans):

“If this was his first year in F1 and he just jumped in and was doing what he’s doing, then maybe my pride would be a little hurt. I certainly acknowledge I’ve been in the sport a lot longer, but he is the guy in this team that knows the team. Even like giving feedback, he’ll relate to things.”

Daniel Ricciardo believes Monza win was the biggest of his career

Ricciardo took everyone by surprise last season at Monza after winning the race. The Australian won his first race since leaving Red Bull and it was one of the best performances of his career. Talking about the same, Ricciardo has revealed that Monza was in fact the biggest win of his motorsports career. He said:

“The more time that passes since Monza, the more that I actually realise the effect of that. And I really do think it was the biggest moment, win, race, day of my motorsport career.”
