Verstappen made his debut at the age of 17 and has shown the signs of being an exceptional driver ever since. Decoding the reasons behind the Dutchman being such a fantastic driver, Dr Marcia Goddard, a Neuroscientist has credited his success to a fully pruned myelinated prefrontal cortex. The part of the brain which helps to communicate and think faster.

Dr. Goddard released the statement over her LinkedIn, where she said:

“Max is a once-in-a-generation phenomenon, definitely up there with Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. At only 24 years old, he has at least 10 more years in F1 ahead of him. Now with a fully pruned and myelinated prefrontal cortex, balanced dopamine and serotonin systems, and a truckload of experience under his belt, it will be a joy to watch him fight for championships for years to come.”

Can Max Verstappen win the 2022 F1 championship?

The odds are certainly lined in favour of the Dutchman to win the 2022 F1 championship. With Lewis Hamilton’s future in the F1 still unclear, Verstappen looks set to be the favorite to win consecutive F1 world championships. The 24-year-old will be approaching the 2022 season full of confidence. He will certainly look to win back to back championships.

With the 2022 Formula One season starting within two months, it will be really interesting to see how the 2021 world champion performs with the new car.
