Guanyu Zhou is a Chinese professional racing driver who drives for Alfa Romeo in F1. He has never revealed anything about his relationship status neither to the media or any of his social media pages and for sure isn’t married yet. It seems that the young driver prefers a very private life and focuses on his career.
Zhou was born in Shanghai, China, and was a racing enthusiast since early childhood. Having started karting when he was eight years old in China, Zhou moved to Sheffield in 2012 for a more competitive racing environment. In 2013 racing with the Sheffield-based Strawberry Racing team, he won both the Super 1 National Rotax Max Junior Championship and Rotax Max Euro Challenge.
Zhou Guanyu is presently totally focused on his racing career
Zhou Guanyu’s introduction to the F1 circuit came in 2014 he joined the Ferrari Driver Academy while still karting. He stayed in the Ferrari Driver Academy until the end of 2018. In 2019, he joined the Renault Sport Academy and served as a development driver for the Renault Formula One Team. In 2020, Zhou was promoted to Test Driver for the Renault Formula One Team.
Zhou signed with Alfa Romeo for the 2022 Formula One season, where he is partnering with Valtteri Bottas, becoming China’s first full-time Formula One driver.
Zhou picked the number 24 as his permanent racing number to honor his sporting hero Kobe Bryant. On his debut in Bahrain, Zhou qualified 15th but recovered from a poor start in the race to finish 10th, scoring a point. His best finish in the 2022 season, his debut season, came at Montreal, when he and his teammate Bottas, finished 8th and 7th respectively, earning a double-points finish.
