Las Vegas is returning in 2023 and will feature in the F1 calendar for the first time since 1985. Free practice will take place in the United States on Thursday, followed by qualifying on Friday. The race will take place Saturday night (American time) and Sunday morning in European time. Because of Las Vegas’ location close to the West Coast of the United States, having the race start at 22:00 seems a good solution. This makes the start later than the start in Singapore, which usually takes place at 20:00 local time.

Fans react to Las Vegas’ Grand Prix late start time on Twitter

Here is what fans feel about the start time of Las Vegas Grand Prix.

“Sorry Europe, you’ll have to get up early or record it like I’ve been doing on the west coast my entire life”, wrote a fan who knows a thing or two about watching F1 races early in the morning.

“Oh, so they’re going to have a race in America and make the time massively inconvenient for Americans. 1:00AM for the east coast for a race in our own country….brilliant”, wrote a disappointed fan.

“To all the Europeans complaining, now you know what it’s like to be from any other place in the world”, read another tweet.

“This is so bizarre”, tweeted another fan.

“Forgetting other markets for a second, isn’t this a bad time for other parts in the US too? Esp parts to the east?”, read another tweet.
