Felipe Drugovich has joined Aston Martin F1 team as a part of their Driver Development Programme
Felipe Drugovich has completed his first day with Aston Martin after joining the F1 team last week. Drugovich took five race wins over the course of the 2022 season and sealed the championship at Monza, following which he was roped in by Aston Martin. He has joined Aston Martin’s Driver Development Programme as their first member.
The Driver Development Programme has been designed in association with AMF1’s engineers and management and is intended to provide a stairway for junior drivers to reach Formula One. Drugovich is likely to drive in FP1 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as a substitute for Lance Stroll and will also take part in November’s young driver test at the Yas Marina Circuit. Things are falling in place for Drugovich and he doesn’t seem too far from an F1 seat.
