Ravin Jain has replaced Spaniard Inaki Rueda as the head of strategy at Ferrari F1 team

Ferrari F1 team has promoted Indian-origin Ravin Jain as the ‘Head of Strategy’ ahead of the new season. Jain is set to replace Spain’s Inaki Rueda, who has been associated with Ferrari for a long time. Before this role, Jain used to be Ferrari’s race strategy engineer. The new Head of Strategy will begin his job in this role at next week’s Bahrain Grand Prix.

Jain joined Ferrari in 2017 and has played a pivotal role in their success over the last six years. As per sources, Jain has been promoted to replace Rueda after a number of obvious errors last season, especially involving Charles Leclerc. The F1 2023 season starts next week on March 5 at the Bahrain International Circuit and Jain will be under a lot of pressure to get things right for his high-profile team.

Ferrari are set for a fresh start under Frederic Vasseur

Frederic Vasseur has taken over from Mattia Binotto as the new Principal of the Ferrari F1 team. Vasseur has been operational in his new role from the first week of January, 2023 and has made a number of changes to the technical team. Ravin Jain is one of the several members who will have a new role going into the new season. After a series of disappointing seasons, Ferrari stakeholders and fans will be hoping that Vasseur can lead the team in the right direction.

Vasseur brings with himself a lot of experience, which Ferrari would look to benefit from. His long career in motorsport began in 1996 when he founded the ASM team which won the French Formula 3 Championship with Renault. The Frenchman’s journey in F1 began in 2016 joined Renault Sport as team principal of the newly formed Renault Sport Formula One Team during the 2016 Formula One season. He resigned at the end of the season and joined Sauber F1 team as Managing Director and CEO in 2017 and after a successful career of six years, he has now made the move to Ferrari.
