Alex Albon has signed an agreement which will see him continue to drive for Williams racing in 2023

Alex Albon took to confirm his extension with Williams racing till end of 2023. However, it’s his sarcastic way of presentation that has made all the headlines. Albon is clearly on top of his banter game and fans absolutely love it.

“I understand that, with my agreement, Williams Racing has put out a press release this afternoon that I am driving for them next year. This is right and I have signed a contract with Williams for 2023. I will be driving for Williams next year”, Albon wrote on Twitter. Albon’s tweet is clearly about the Oscar Piastri and Alpine sage which has taken the F1 World by storm.

Piastri was announced by Alpine as Aston Martin-bound Fernando Alonso’s replacement for 2023 earlier on Tuesday but the Australian driver then took to Twitter and Instagram to insist otherwise. “I understand that, without my agreement, Alpine F1 have put out a press release late this afternoon that I am driving for them next year. This is wrong and I have not signed a contract with Alpine for 2023.I will not be driving for Alpine next year“, wrote Piastri on social media.
