British F1 star and seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton added another feather to his cap as he won the Sports Innovator at WSJ Magazine’s 2021 Innovator Awards.

The Brit was not the only one to have picked up an award with rapper and musician Lil Nas X and actor Ryan Reynolds also getting an award.

The F1 Instagram handle posted several photos of Hamilton on their account, and the Brit seemed to be enjoying himself a lot.

“The seven-time world champ was named Sports Innovator of the Year at the WSJ Magazine’s 2021 Innovator Awards. He joined other winners, including rapper Lil Nas X and actor Ryan Reynolds, at the awards ceremony in New York earlier this week”

Hamilton has won several awards outside of F1 during his career. The Mercedes star has worked hard outside the circuit, and it will be interesting to see what else he could achieve in his career.

Lewis Hamilton vs Max Verstappen in Mexico

The F1 circus returns to action this week with the next race taking place in Mexico.

Hamilton comes into this race with a 12-point deficit to Max Verstappen. The Dutch racer is gunning for his first title and with just a handful of races left, each point will be important.

Verstappen has won eight races this season while Hamilton has won only five. However, the Mercedes does seem to have the speed advantage over the Red Bulls.

Hamilton has the experience of winning several titles and that could play a huge role as to who wins the crown this time.

Mexico is followed by Brazil and Qatar in a crazy triple header before the F1 season visits Saudi Arabia for the first time.

The final race of the season is in Abu Dhabi, and this rivalry could continue till the last lap.
