Lewis Hamilton’s stars in new IWC ad displaying legendary career

7-time champion Lewis Hamilton has taken some time off the wheel and stars in a new IWC watch ad.

Lewis Hamilton first partnered with IWC Schaffhausen to co-create a watch with his name in 2019. The Brit demonstrated his new talent with the Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition, which had his name written on it.

IWC Schaffhausen also has links with Hamilton’s team mate Valtteri Bottas. These racers are two of IWC Schaffhausen’s ‘Friends of the Brand’ and share a fascination for mechanical timepieces.

The Swiss brand has also been the Official Engineering Partner of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team since 2013.

Hamilton is one of the top racers in the world and the latest ad sees some of his best days from when he was a youngster.

The Brit was always destined for greatness and he seems set for more in 2021.

Further, the battle between the two intensified in Portugal, where Hamilton extended his narrow lead by winning in Portimao. He followed that up with a victory under the Barcelona sun.

Verstappen fought back impressively in Monaco winning comfortably and hence his first title in the Principality. Hamilton’s P7 gave him worst points finish of the season. This allowed Red Bull and Verstappen to move up to the top slot going into Baku.

This season, Verstappen and Hamilton arrive in Azerbaijan just four points apart in the drivers’ standings. Red Bull are one point ahead of Mercedes in the constructors’ championship, so Hamilton will have his work cut out ahead of the F1 race.

Hamilton returns to the Baku track where Mercedes have won three of the four Grands Prix since its inception in 2016. After their miserable run in Monaco, outpaced by Ferrari as well, he is certain that the current Constructors’ Champions will bounce back stronger.
