Charles LeClerc won the Driver of the Day at the British GP 2021

Despite coming 2nd, Charles Leclerc was gutted after the race, which was clearly evident in the team radio after he went on a cuss-barrage following the race completion.

The Monegasque driver had led the race for almost 50 laps (52 total), before he was beaten by a surging Lewis Hamilton.

He had to settle for number 2 in the end. However, Leclerc braved engine issues, witnessed a nasty first-lap collision between Hamilton and Max Verstappen to claim 18 valuable points for himself and Ferrari.

Leclerc’s teammate Carlos Sainz finished 6th.

Leclerc’s measured and splendid drive earned him the F1 driver of the day. He topped the poll with 34.5% of the total votes.

Max Verstappen out in the very first lap, comes number 3 in the Driver of the Day standings

Verstappen and Hamilton were involved in a nasty first-round crash, which sent Verstappen careening towards the barricade, shattering his car in the process.

Despite going out in the very first lap, Verstappen stood number 3 in the Driver of the Day Standings. He received 12.9% of the votes.

Race winner Hamilton was second in the Driver of The Day standings, while fellow Englishman Lando Norris who finished 4th in the race, finished 4 in the polls as well.

Sergio Perez who finished 16th in the race, was voted number 5!
