Charles Leclerc won the Driver of the Day at the Bahrain GP 2022

It was Charles Leclerc all the way in Bahrain. The Monégasque driver kept his pole position intact after fending off a challenge from Max Verstappen for the majority of the race.

Barring Verstappen trying to get the better of Leclerc during the pitstops, the Ferrari man was hardly threatened.

A ton of drama awaited the fans after Verstappen suffered an engine failure towards the end of the race, forcing him to head to the pit lane.

His teammate Sergio Perez who looked on course to finish on the podium, unfortunately, spun with only a couple of laps left.

Leclerc’s teammate Carlos Sainz finished second to cap off an incredible night for Ferrari. Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton finished third to claim the final spot on the podium.
