Impa Kasanganay recently got a UFC contract and already has some big names on his radar

The 26-year-old had won his first outing on the show but didn’t get a deal. However, he made no mistake in his second clash.

Kasanganay defeated Anthony Adams and is set to feature on 29 August against Maki Pitolo. The 7-0 MMA star was on WERMMA as he shared some of his thoughts after getting into the UFC.

Kasanganay was “super excited” to be here and was just happy to be in the fight game. The 26-year-old added that he loved fighting, loved travelling and wanted to keep working and improving after getting his UFC contract.

The Middleweight was also asked about who his dream fights would be, and he named a couple of stars.

One was a current UFC Champion while the other is considered as one of the greatest to have ever fought in MMA:

“Right now it would be Adesanya, since he has the title. That is my focus, the champion.

“Dream fight, past, present and future? Anderson Silva. I love the way he fights.”

Kasanganay added that he wanted to face the younger version of Silva. Silva is one of the greatest MMA stars in the history of the sport but his best days are over. Adesanya is the current Middleweight champion and Stylebender is undefeated in his MMA career.

Willing to switch weight classes

While Kasanganay wanted to put on a good show and impress those watching, he was open to changing weight classes.

He was open to moving down to the Welterweight division and taking on fighters such as Jorge Masvidal. However, he was also open to pushing up to the Light Heavyweight class.

While the 26-year-old is undefeated in his professional MMA career, he added that he would love going to the Heavyweight division.

However, Kasanganay believed that was a tough challenge for him and he wasn’t planning on that yet.

Kasanganay is one of the fighters that needs to be watched in the coming years. He is 7-0 so far and it will be interesting to see how his next fight goes.
