Brandon Moreno faces Deiveson Figueiredo for the UFC Flyweight title but had some great words for Henry Cejudo

Former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo might have retired from the Octagon but he keeps himself in the news at all times.

Triple C, as Cejudo calls himself, has hinted regularly that he would be willing to return to the UFC for Alex Volkanovski’s Featherweight title.

However, Cejudo has also hit out at the current holders of his belts. Cejudo has created this cringe character where he hits out at his rivals and has done so to champions Figueiredo and Petr Yan.

He was at it again recently by claiming that Brandon Moreno would defeat Figueiredo at UFC 256. The pair are to meet for the title but Figueiredo has been excellent since winning the title against Joseph Benavidez.

Cejudo’s comments have seen him get lambasted several times but Moreno shared insight on who Triple C really is.

Amazing person

Moreno was on the Schmozone podcast and claimed that he had trained with Cejudo in the past. The 26-year-old also had some great words for Triple C and claimed that the Olympic Champion was nothing like his character that he shows to the public.

“I know Henry Cejudo. I worked with him for the fight against [Jussier] Formiga and Demetrious Johnson.

“He is an amazing person, for me. So funny how he come up with the character ‘Triple C’ because I know the guy is very humble and such a nice guy.

“We have a kind of friendship but right now, I don’t tag with him but we had moments but I really appreciate it and feel happy for that.”

Cejudo might be the King of Cringe but no one can doubt his abilities in the Octagon. He was unbeatable after winning the Bantamweight and Flyweight titles and could create history by becoming the first triple-division champion.

His return is something to keep an eye on but Figueiredo vs Moreno should be something special too.
