Chris Jericho Band Fozzy

Jericho has been with the band for over 20 years now, and he is so involved in it that he had to quit WWE to go on tour on more than one occasion. This band was formed when Chris Jericho met Ward in a wrestling show in San Antonio, Texas. Ward convinced Jericho to play for the band.

During the band’s first show at the club “The Hanger”, Fozzy was started as Fozzy Osbourne, a play on the name of the singer Ozzy Osbourne. Jericho first started as a part-time member, but one year later, in 2000, he became a permanent member of the band as a lead vocalist.

Y2J took the band name of Mongoose McQueen. This character was an actual gimmick. Using the skills he learned from WWE, he made his own character.

There is a hilarious thing about this Mongoose personality: it refused to acknowledge the existence of Chris Jericho in the real world.

Fozzy signed a record deal with Riot Entertainment. Fozy released its 4th album, “Chasing the Grail, “Martyr No More” and used it as a theme song for WWE’s Royal Rumble PPV in 2010.
