Everton Opinion: Why Everton must sign Moise Kean on a season-long loan

According to the Tuttomercatoweb, Everton are interested in a move for Juventus starlet Moise Kean.

The 19-year-old is one of the best prospects to emerge from the Juventus academy in recent times. He netted 7 goals in just 17 games as the Turin-based club cruised to yet another Serie A title last season. The teenage striker also made his Italy international debut last year.

There is no way Juventus are selling the highly-rated Moise Kean. So, the possibility of a season-long loan spell remains on the cards. That said, Everton should approach Juventus with an idea to sign the Italian forward on a season-long loan.

The Toffees will be looking to break into the top six next term after finishing the last season on a high. They enjoyed some brilliant results in the second half of the 2018/19 and Marco Silva will take a lot of confidence from that. But Silva and co. will need to show ambition in this summer transfer market just like they did last year and make some really impressive recruits.

A reliable goalscorer is the need of the hour for the Merseysiders, with Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin having struggled to come up with goals consistently this past campaign. Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson took the goalscoring burden and delivered, although things might change next time around.

Everton already have an exciting attack comprising of Sigurdsson, Richarlison, Bernard and Calvert-Lewin and the addition of Moise Kean could certainly take Silva’s team to the next level. The Italian is a potent goalscorer, blessed with explosive pace and power. He is tenacious and physical strong forward, with solid technical qualities and a powerful shot.

Kean is a good dribbler, who never shies away from taking on defenders while his electric pace makes him a genuine threat on the counter. The three-cap Italy international’s eye for a pass and immaculate control over the ball allows him to probe the opposition defences.

The teenage sensation’s potential addition will undoubtedly bolster’s Everton’s attack. Silva’s team will get a focal point in Kean and the likes of Sigurdsson, Bernard and Richarlison will thrive playing off him.

Silva needs more bite, more hunger and more competition in his squad for next season to push for a top six finish. If the Toffees can persuade Juventus in loaning Kean out for the entire 2019/20 campaign, it would represent a stunning work done by Marcel Brands and Silva.
