Tottenham vs West Ham prediction: Tottenham line-up

Tottenham welcome West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday aiming to tighten their grip on the top four.

The north Londoners won 1-0 against Brighton in mid-week, thanks to a late Christian Eriksen goal. They are now third in the table, three points ahead of fourth-placed Chelsea.

West Ham, meanwhile, drew 2-2 with Leicester City at the weekend and will look to spring an upset at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Team News

Moussa Sissoko is set to miss out again with a groin problem, while Harry Winks and Erik Lamela remain big doubts.

Probable Tottenham XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Mauricio Pochettino

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Lloris returned to the team against Brighton and kept a clean-sheet. He is expected to be in goal on Saturday.

Kieran Trippier (RB)

Tripper hasn’t had a good season for Spurs but with Aurier injured, he is expected to keep his place in the team.

Toby Alderweireld (CB)

The Belgian has been a massive part of the Spurs backline over the last few years and he should start in central defence at the weekend.

Toby Alderweireld 1

Jan Vertonghen (CB)

A leader at the back, Vertonghen’s presence will be hugely important as Spurs look to beat West Ham on Saturday.

Ben Davies (LB)

Rose played the entire game against Brighton, so Pochettino could shuffle his pack and start Davies at left-back against the Hammers.

Victor Wanyama (CM)

Wanyama has performed ever so well since returning from injury and should keep his place in the middle of the park.

Eric Dier (CM)

Pochettino could opt for extra solidity in midfield against an attacking West Ham side. That could see Dier start in central midfield alongside Wanyama.

Eric Dier

Dele Alli (LW)

Alli gives a different flavour to the Spurs attack which constantly has troubled the opposition in the past. He is expected to retain his place in the team on Saturday.

Christian Eriksen (CAM)

The match winner against Brighton, Eriksen’s creativity will be Tottenham’s most important asset against West Ham. He’ll have to be at his best if Spurs are to win the game.

Lucas Moura (RW)

The speedy Brazilian will be looking to continue his fine form and deliver the goods for the hosts, especially in Harry Kane’s absence.

Lucas Moura

Fernando Llorente (ST)

Llorente’s strength, power and aerial prowess make him a handful for the defenders in the box. He should start against West Ham.
