The blockbuster deal created a suds monolith that has the following brands rattling around in one enormous, global cooler: Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Miller High Life, Coors, Coors Light, Corona, Michelob, Busch, Stella Artois, Becks, Peroni, Hoegaarden, Grolsch, Icehouse, Keystone, Milwaukee’s Best, Blue Moon, Foster’s, Pilsner Urquell, and a lot more.
AB InBev paid $67.59 per share for SABMiller, roughly 50 percent more than the share price before the acquisition rumors surfaced. As part of the agreement with the U.S. Justice Department, SABMiller agreed to divest itself of the Miller brands in the US and Puerto Rico by selling its stake in MillerCoors to Molson Coors.
