Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s marriage is all but over, as the couple separated in August 2023 after only 14 months of marriage. Spears tied the knot with the actor and personal fitness trainer on June 9, 2022. The pair said “I do” in front of roughly 60 guests (including Madonna and Drew Barrymore) in Los Angeles, nearly nine months after announcing their engagement in September 2021.
Asghari marked the couple’s first wedding anniversary by sharing a few never-before-seen clips from their special day, including footage of a magical balcony kiss. “One year married to the woman of my dreams,” he wrote on Instagram.
After moving to the United States from his native Iran in 2006, Asghari has starred on series such as Black Monday and Hacks and appeared in several magazines and videos, which is how he met Spears. After playing the singer’s love interest in her 2016 music video “Slumber Party,” the pair turned their fictional relationship into reality several months later.
