Originally offered for $87.5 million in April 2022, Mark Wahlberg’s Beverly Hills property was sold for $55 million, a significant decrease from its original asking price. The house is located in the gated neighbourhood of North Beverly Park in Los Angeles and has 30500 square feet of living space, 12 bedrooms, and 20 bathrooms.

There are 6.2 acres of land on which the house is located. The property was the seventh-largest on the market in April when it was initially listed.

Donnie Wahlberg, the brother of Mark Wahlberg, paid $8.25 million buying the property in 2009, and development took 5 years to complete. Richard Landry, the architect who previously created the former Beverly Hills house of Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, created the chateau-style property.

What did Mark Wahlberg have to say about his Beverly Hills home?

Although being at the house for more than ten years, Mark claimed to have lost out on several possibilities when he was in Beverly Hills. He said, “I want to be able to work from home. I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there,’ he explained. ‘So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.

Last year on “The Talk” he said that selling his house was due to his desire to spend more time with his family. “I moved to California many years ago to pursue acting, and I’ve only made a couple of movies in the entire time that I was there. So, to be able to give my kids a better life and follow and pursue their dreams, whether it be my daughter as an equestrian, my son as a basketball player, my younger son as a golfer, this made a lot more sense for us.”
