Everton striker Oumar Niasse has struggled ever since his move to the club and it looks like Marco Silva is done with him.

He arrived at Goodison Park as what many expected to be their answer to Romelu Lukaku after his successful spell at Lokomotiv Moscow in the winter of 2016.

However, nothing has worked out for either party with Niasse struggling to make any impact what so ever under Roberto Martinez, David Unsworth, Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce and even Marco Silva. Things got so bad, that manager Ronald Koeman eventually sent him on loan to Hull-City.

Even there, Niasse struggled to make any impact, scoring only 4 goals in 17 Premier League appearances before returning back.

Things changed a bit last season, under big Sam Allardyce with the 28-year old making 22 appearances in the Premier League scoring 8 goals and producing a further 3 assists according to Transfermarkt.

Now One-Football has revealed that the partnership could be over, with Marco Silva and Oumar Niasse close to parting ways with each other.

Marco Silva, however, hasn’t used the 28-year-old at all instead opting to use Cenk Tosun, Richarlison and even Dominic Calvert-Lewin up front for Everton, with Niasse not even making the bench.

But the question is should Everton part ways with the Senegalese international?

The answer might not surprise many, but it is yes, especially given the fact that the Mirror is reporting that Cardiff City are considering a move for the out of favour Everton striker.

The Bluebirds have struggled to find the net this season scoring only 17 goals, the fourth least in the Premier League and they need to pump up that number.

Can Oumar Niasse be that man for Cardiff City?

Only time will tell if a move does take place, but one thing is for sure, the 28-year-old needs to leave Everton if he ever wants to play football again.

If Cardiff City are offeringhim a way out, there is a massive chance that Marco Silva will let him go if he wants to. The Bluebirds need offensive reinforcements and if Niasse can re-discover his goal-scoring form, then he would certainly be very useful for Neil Warnock as the fixture list becomes more and more congested.

But what could possess an issue for both sides, is the fact that the Mirror has revealed that Cardiff City only wants the 28-year-old on loan and not a permanent move, with Marco Silva looking to offload the Senegalese in the near future.
