Predicted 4-2-3-1 Arsenal XI to face Bournemouth in the Premier League

Arsenal were considerably below-par and were lucky to escape with a 1-1 draw against Wolves in their last game before the international break.

Unai Emeny’s men are currently unbeaten in 16 games across all competitions and the Gunners will be looking to make it 17 when they make the trip to the south coast to face to Bournemouth on Sunday.

Arsenal will be desperate to get all three points from this fixture given that the Gunners have some tough games coming up in December against Tottenham and Manchester United.

Bournemouth are currently 6th in the Premier League standings and the Cherries will be looking to get their campaign back on track after consecutive defeats at the hands of Manchester United and Newcastle United.

Arsenal will be without the services of Danny Welbeck who is ruled out with a long-term ankle injury while Nacho Monreal is also unlikely to feature due to a hamstring issue.

Laurent Koscielny and Stephan Lichtsteiner are yet to regain match fitness and their selection will be subject to a late fitness test.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Unai Emery

Predicted XI

1. Bernd Leno (GK)

The German has put in a few solid shifts between the sticks which should be enough to force Petr Cech to start from the bench.

2. Hector Bellerin (RB)

The Spaniard has looked very exciting in terms of attack, contributing a lot with his powerful overlapping runs and crisp passing but he needs to be more solid at the back.

3. Sokratis (CB)

Rob Holding has struggled to cope with fast and agile opposition so Emery should hand the former Borussia Dortmund man a start.

4. Shkodran Mustafi (CB)

The German centre-back has blown hot and cold throughout the campaign so far and he will need to put in a solid shift to keep Callum Wilson at bay.

5. Sead Kolasinac (LB)

The injury to Nacho Monreal should open the door for the Bosnian to get a start in the Premier League.

6. Lucas Torreira (CDM)

The Uruguayan’s tenacity, tackling and flawless passing are invaluable assets to the Gunners in the heart of the midfield.

7. Granit Xhaka (CDM)

He was guilty of giving the ball away cheaply in the last game and Arsenal will need him to improve significantly this weekend.

8. Mesut Ozil (CAM)

The German wizard hasn’t been in great touch in the last couple of games and he will be expected to rise to the occasion on Sunday.

9. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (LW)

He has been in tremendous form this season and Arsenal will rely heavily on him to find the net once again.

10. Henrikh Mkhitaryan (RW)

The former Dortmund man hasn’t been particularly influential this season but he should be in high spirits after scoring that all-important equaliser against Wolves in the last outing.

11. Alexandre Lacazette (ST)

The Frenchman has been in good goalscoring form this season and Arsenal will need him to fire once again if they are to claim three points.
