Chelsea faces a visit to Anfield on Sunday as Maurizio Sarri aims to beat Liverpool to strengthen their bid for a top-four finish this season.

The Blues secured a valuable 1-0 win in their quarter-final first leg of the Europa League in Slavia Prague with Sarri opting not playing his strongest side. With Liverpool on the horizon, Chelsea, who are up to third in the table after three straight wins, will look to spoil the hosts’ title aspirations this season.

Liverpool are top of the table, although have played a game more than second-placed Manchester City.

Kepa Arrizabalga (GK)

Kepa has been Sarri’s first-choice in goal and and should keep his place in the team at Liverpool.

Cesar Azpilicueta (RB)

Azpilicueta hasn’t been at his best this season but he’ll continue to be a part of the Chelsea backline. The skipper will start at right-back on Sunday.

David Luiz (CB)

Luiz will have to be at the top of his game to keep the Liverpool attackers at bay at Anfield. He should return back to the starting XI after being an unused substitute in Prague.

Antonio Rudiger (CB)

Rudiger has undoubtedly been Chelsea’s best defender this season and is expected to start Sunday’s game.

Emerson (LB)

Marcos Alonso did star in the 1-0 victory over Slavia Prague on Thursday but Sarri is likely to go with Emerson at left-back against the Reds.

Jorginho (CDM)

Jorginho is the beating heart of Sarri’s system and while he hasn’t set the world alight, the Italian remains a consistent mark on the team-sheet.

N’Golo Kante (RCM)

Kante has thrived in an advanced role under Sarri and is an undoubted starter for the big game at Anfield.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (LCM)

Loftus-Cheek has grabbed the opportunities that came his way with both hands and now deserves to keep his place in the starting XI.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (RW)

Callum Hudson-Odoi is playing exceptionally well and it would be a crime to drop the youngster from the starting XI. He’ll be fresh to face Liverpool after being rested for the mid-week Europa League game.

Eden Hazard (LW)

One of the best players in the Premier League, Hazard is a potential match-winner for the Blues and is a likely starter for the visiting side on Sunday.
