One of the most asked questions about Stephen Curry on the internet is whether the Golden State Warriors superstar went to college. As it turns out, Curry in fact did go to college – the Akron, Ohio native did his college from Davidson College in North Carolina from 2006 to 2009.

Graduating from the Charlotte Christian High School in North Carolina, Curry went to Davidson College in the same city where he turned out for the Davidson Wildcats Basketball Team and competed in the NCAA.

It was after his impressive performances for Davidson that Curry got drafted in the 2009 NBA Draft, where he was selected by the Golden State Warriors as their first pick and the seventh overall pick.

Since then, Curry has enjoyed his whole career at the Golden State Warriors, leading them to four NBA Championships – winning two regular season MVPs as well as one Finals MVP along the way.

When did Stephen Curry graduate from college?

In a poetic twist, it was only this summer that Curry graduated from Davidson College.

Curry donned the cap and gown in a one-man ceremony at Davidson College on August 31, 2022 – and was inducted into the Davidson Hall of Fame on the very same day.

Not only that, Curry became the first Davidson alumni to have his number retired by the Wildcats in what was a respectful gesture to one of the top superstars in the NBA at the moment.

It was truly special for Curry to be recognized by his alma mater after the 2021/22 NBA season where he won the Championship, the Finals’ MVP, the All-Star MVP, broke the all-time three pointer record, and was named as one of the top 75 NBA players to ever step on a court.

Curry will be raring to go as the new season begins in October, as the Warriors will come out all guns blazing to defend their Championship – a fifth ring could push Curry’s argument further as one of the best to ever do it.
