DeVante Parker was born on January 20th, 1993. At Ballard High School in Louisville, Kentucky, he excelled in three sports: basketball, football, and track. He received two All-State recognitions. He caught 73 passes for 1,438 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior. He was chosen for the first team All-State by The Courier-Journal. He gained 209 yards and a touchdown when playing Trinity, the 6-A state champion. He gained 137 and two touchdowns and 184 and two touchdowns in two games against No. 2, St. Xavier. He gained 321 yards and two touchdowns against 6-A finalists Male. He gained 227 yards and three touchdowns in just three quarters against 3-A state champion Central.

DeVante Parker College career

Parker appeared in eleven games in 2011 as a freshman and ended up sixth on his team and had 18 receptions for 291 by leading his team with six. Moreover, he had two receiving touchdowns at NSF. In the season-opening game versus Murray state, he made a highlight reel 39-yard touchdown reception.

Parker played 13 games as a sophomore in 2012 and also led the team with  10 touchdowns on 40 receptions and 744 receiving yards. In a victory over No. 23 Cincinnati on the road, he had a career-high nine catches for 104 yards and two touchdowns. At UConn, he ended with five receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown. DeVante Parker and the Miami Dolphins reached a three-year contract agreement on December 14, 2019. Parker was due to earn $5 million in 2019 and $5 million in 2020 under the terms of his most recent contract renegotiation.
