Former UFC world title contender, Darren Till, is on the verge of signing a deal with Misfits Boxing, where he is expected to face fellow MMA fighter Mike Perry and, potentially, the professional boxer Tommy Fury. Till’s UFC career took a downturn with five losses in his last six fights, culminating in a defeat against Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282 in December.

In a recent interview on The MMA Hour, Till expressed his willingness to enter the world of crossover boxing and accepted an offer from Misfits to fight Mike Perry.

Till acknowledged that fighting YouTubers and influencers like Jake Paul and KSI could be enticing, saying:

“I will probably be accepting the offer Misfits are going to give me to punch Mike Perry all over the ring. 99 per cent unless I get the craziest offer ever from someone else. But would I be a fool to turn down some of the offers coming my way? Such as Perry coming from bareknuckle and some of the Youtubers and influencers, your Jake Pauls and KSIs, stuff like that.”

Mike Perry, known for his bare-knuckle fighting background, is likely to be Till’s first opponent under the Misfits promotion. Perry had previously competed in the UFC, with 15 fights under his belt before joining the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC).

Till was critical of the recent Misfits PRIME promotion, which included a bout between Tommy Fury and KSI, describing it as “preposterous.” He also commented on the Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis fight, calling it “disgusting to watch” and stating that neither Logan nor Danis demonstrated notable boxing skills.

Darren Till predicts Khamzat Chimaev vs. Kamaru Usman

Darren Till has weighed in with a bold prediction for the upcoming showdown between Khamzat Chimaev and Kamaru Usman. With Paulo Costa’s withdrawal from UFC 294 due to medical issues, Chimaev is stepping into the octagon to face the former welterweight champion, Usman, in Abu Dhabi. During an interview at a recent Misfits event, Till, who shares a close friendship with Chimaev, expressed his belief that the Chechen-born fighter, often referred to as ‘Borz,’ would have an easy night against ‘The Nigerian Nightmare.’

Till stated, “I’m trying to get there. I love Khamzat, God bless him. Usman’s got ba**s, but I think Khamzat is going to run over him, I do. I mean as much as I’m his friend, I’m his biggest fan. Khamzat is, I think he’s going to run over Usman. All respect to him. He is a GOAT but yeah, I think Khamzat is going to ragdoll him, I do, sorry to say.”

This bold prediction aligns with the odds set by many sportsbooks. According to the official UFC website, ‘Borz’ is a heavy favorite at -360 for the fight, while Usman is considered a +285 underdog.

Khamzat Chimaev boasts an undefeated MMA record of 12-0, with almost all of his UFC fights ending before the final bell. In contrast, Kamaru Usman, with a record of 20-3, is considered one of the all-time greats in the promotion. However, he is currently on a two-fight losing streak and will be eager to secure a victory against the formidable Chimaev.

UFC 294 is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The event’s main attraction will be the lightweight title clash between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski.
