August 31, 2018 – John Isner in action against Dusan Lajovic during the 2018 US Open.

John Isner

The experienced American player won his first match in 2023 in the round of 32 of the Dallas Open. He got the better of Chun-Hsin Tseng in a highly competitive encounter that ended in straight sets 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-1). The big-serving Isner was high on aces once again as he fired in 22 untouchable serves. Isner also had a win percentage of 81 on the first serve.

In the first round of qualifying, Altmaier crashed out following a loss to Thiago Monteiro. The Australian Open followed where Altmaier lost to 16th seed Frances Tiafoe in four sets in the first round.
