Stewart graduated from a high school in Avon, Mississippi. His junior year was so special to him as he averaged 15.2 points with 6.4 rebounds per match. He carried his good form also to his sophomore year and averaged 17.4 per game. During his junior year, the Shooting Guard’s prime form was noticed and was called All-State by The Clarion-Ledger, an American newspaper.
After high school, the Shooting Guard committed to play for Mississippi State University. His first season for the university didn’t go well as he was red-shirted by his coach Ben Howland. His coach felt that he needed a bit more time for practice. In 2020, he scored 32 points marking his career-best performance.
In 2021, Stewart dropped his name for the NBA draft with his college eligibility. But unfortunately, he was undrafted and became a free agent.
After going undrafted in the 2021 season, he joined the Miami heat for the NBA Summer League. Before the start of the season, he was axed by the heat and signed as an affiliate player for San Antonio Spurs.
