He received the same amount once again at UFC 264 following his trilogy with Dustin Poirier, despite suffering yet another loss.

Conor McGregor MMA career and UFC record

Conor McGregor made his MMA debut on the 8th of March in 2008 against Gary Morris at Cage of Truth 2. 

A large part of McGregor’s MMA career was spent in Ireland. After winning 12 of his first 14 fights, McGregor moved to the UFC. 

He made his UFC debut against Marcus Brimage in April 2013 in the featherweight champion. McGregor quickly rose through the ranks and won the featherweight championship at UFC 194, against Jose Aldo.

After a minor blip at the hands of Nate Diaz at UFC 196, McGregor bounced back to become the first two-division champion in the UFC, after beating Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.

The 32-year-old then lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 while he was battling for the UFC Lightweight Championship.

That bout took place in 2018 and The Notorious One made his return to UFC in 2020. Cerrone was knocked out in the first round after just 40 seconds.

The Irishman now holds a record of 22 wins and six losses but has won several titles during his illustrious MMA career.

McGregor has been in a relationship with his girlfriend Dee Devlin since 2008. The pair have three children, Conor Jack McGregor Jr, Croia McGregor and Rian McGregor.
