South Africa’s Ruan Roelofse has been the coach of 27-year-old US tennis star Christopher Eubanks since 2021

Christopher Eubanks‘ has had a number of coaches over the years but it is former South African tennis player Ruan Roelofse, who is currently coaching him.

Eubanks’ father coached him until he was 13 before the teenager became friends with American professional Tennis player Donald Young and started training with him. As a child, Eubanks trained at the South Fulton Tennis Center, which was owned by Young’s parents.

After Eubanks took the leap to the professional level, he hired a team of professional coaches. The American has been associated with Roelofse since 2021.

Eubanks made his Grand Slam debut at the 2017 US Open, where he received a wildcard entry into the main draw. However, he wasn’t consistent enough on the professional tour. He started getting notable success on the ATP Challenger Tour after Ruan Roelofse started coaching him in 2021.

Eubanks has won 1 ATP Tour title in his professional career till date and that has come in singles. He achieved his career-best ranking of No.43 in men’s singles in 2023 and currently occupies the same spot. He is not much active in the doubles and is currently ranked No.287. Eubanks is improving by leaps and bounds and he certainly has the potential to make it big.

Roelofse turned professional in 2006 and has primarily focused on doubles throughout his career. He has competed in various tournaments on the ITF Futures and Challenger circuits, where he has achieved success in doubles, winning several titles. He has a career-high doubles ranking of No. 137 on the ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) tour and he achieved it in August 2018.
