Former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James sends gratitude on social media to Stephanie McMahon after the Interim CEO announcement.

WWE has publicly announced that Vince McMahon will be stepping down from his role as CEO and Chairwoman of the company today. This news came after the WWE board of directors investigated various alleged misconducts by Vince McMahon and others.

In the meantime, the announcement was made that Stephanie McMahon will be the interim CEO and Chairwoman of the company. After the announcement, many former WWE superstars and professionals reacted to it and also shared congratulations. 

Meanwhile, former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James also congratulated Stephanie via her Twitter handle. James also mentioned that Stephanie has been training for this job her whole life, and she believes that “change is in the air.”

“I believe you have trained for this role your whole life. Unfortunate of how you had to take over but there is no doubt in my mind you’re going to do an incredible job. I know how much you love this company and this business. Change is in the air. Congratulations Stephanie.

The Wall Street Journal’s reports stated that there is an ongoing investigation into a $3 million settlement Vince paid to a former employee with whom he allegedly had an affair. 

WWE releases statement regarding Stephanie McMahon’s role as CEO

WWE has released a statement regarding Stephanie’s new roles as CEO and Chairwoman, which involved quotes from her and Vince. She stated that she loves the company and will be committed to “working with the Independent Directors to strengthen our culture and our Company.”

This is what Vince has to say,

He’ll be cooperative in the investigation by the Special Committee and will do “everything possible to support the investigation.”

However, whether Stephanie’s role will be short-term or long-term is still unclear. It is to note that Vince will, however, still maintain creative control of WWE and the company.
