Predicted Celtic XI to face Dundee United in the Premiership

Celtic will travel to Tannadice Park on Saturday as they face Dundee United in a Scottish Premiership encounter.

Neil Lennon’s men will be heading into this game on the back of a massive 6-0 victory against KR Reykjavik in the Champions League qualification round. However, they missed their last two league games and they need to take maximum points from this game if they are to keep up with their rivals in the race for the title.

On the other hand, Dundee United will be hoping to continue with the fine form and get the best of their opponents.

Vasilios Barkas (GK)

The Greek international has been brilliant in the two games he started and will retain his place ahead of Scott Bain. He would be hoping to keep a clean sheet.

Jeremie Frimpong (RB)

The Dutch teenager was rested for the last game but he is expected to return to the starting XI ahead of Hatem Abd Elhamed. He will need to make contributions at both ends of the pitch.

Kristoff Ajer (CB)

Another one of the key players to be rested on Wednesday, Ajer will be partnering Jullien in the heart of Celtic’s defence against Dundee United.

Christopher Jullien (CB)

The 27-year-old was in brilliant form in the last outing and also contributed with a goal. He will be an undoubted starter and needs to continue with the fine form.

Greg Taylor (LB)

The former Killies man has begun to show his maximum and seems to have claimed the spot for himself. He will be expected to make forward runs and provide crosses for the forwards.

Scott Brown (CM)

The 35-year-old is one of the key players in the squad. He will be leading the team.

Callum McGregor (CM)

McGregor has been a mainstay in the Hoops squad. He will be key in breaking the Tangerines’ attack, whilst operating in a deeper position.

Ryan Christie (AM)

The creative head of the squad, Christie will be expected to break open the opponent’s defence and create enough opportunities for the strikers. He has been in sensational form Lennon’s side.

Mohamed Elyounoussi (LW)

The Norwegian was at his brilliant best in the last outing, scoring two goals. He will retain his spot and should be able to get a few more on Saturday.
