Predicted 4-3-3 Manchester City line-up to face Burnley in the Premier League

The Citizens have made a wonderful start to their Premier League campaign and Pep Guardiola’s side currently sit on top of the Premier League standings, ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea on goal difference.

It has been goals galore for the Sky Blues and they have stamped their authority in the Premier League with 21 goals so far this season.

Manchester City were held to a goalless draw at Anfield before the international break as Riyad Mahrez squandered the chance to win the game by missing a late penalty. However, Pep Guardiola’s men will be the strong favourites when they host Burnley this weekend.

The Clarets have been in a decent run of form and have accumulated seven points from their last three games, which includes a 4-0 drubbing of Bournemouth. However, Sean Dyche’s men will face an uphill battle when they take on the table toppers.

Team News

Ilkay Gundogan is yet to fully recover from his injury while Kevin De Bruyne is available for selection. Fabian Delph is also doubtful to feature on Saturday while Danilo and Claudio Bravo continue to be on the treatment table.

Ederson Moraes (GK)

The Brazilian has put in multiple solid shifts between the sticks and continues to remain a reliable presence at the back.

Kyle Walker (RB)

Solid at the back and influential in the other half, he should be one of the first names on the teamsheet.

John Stones (CB)

The Englishman put in a solid performance against Liverpool and Guardiola should give him another start to allow him to grow in confidence.

Aymeric Laporte (CB)

He has been solid at the back with some crucial tackles and interceptions, and should start ahead of Nicolas Otamendi.

Benjamin Mendy (LB)

He has been one of the most influential players for Manchester City this season in terms of attack and Guardiola should continue to pick him.

Fernandinho (CDM)

The Brazilian might be 33 but he still has a lot to offer in defensive midfield with his physicality and game-reading ability.

David Silva (LCM)

The diminutive Spaniard has continued to weave his magic by linking up the play with short, quick and incisive passes, and continues to remain a key figure for the Citizens.

Bernardo Silva (RCM)

He has been one of the mainstays of City’s attack and has been in good form this season.

Leroy Sane (LW)

He came on as a late substitute against Liverpool and beat the defenders with his pace and guile to win the penalty for his side. He has been in good touch over the last few games and deserves a start ahead of Riyad Mahrez.
