Floyd Mayweather got caught with a strong left in his exhibition fight against Mikura Asakura

Floyd Mayweather fought Mikura Asakura in an exhibition bout at Saitama Super Arena, north of Tokyo. The fight was a collaboration between Mayweather Promotions and Japan’s Rizin Fighting Federations. Asakura is a professional Japanese mixed martial artist who competes in the featherweight division of the Rizin Fighting Federation.

Ever since he retired from professional boxing after his victory over MMA superstar Conor McGregor, Mayweather has engaged in several exhibition bouts. This included a fight against popular YouTuber Logan Paul.

The undefeated boxing legend won the exhibition fight against the Japanese by knockout in the second round. A vicious right hook knocked out Asakura who could not make it to the end of the count by the referee.

Although McGregor had a clean day at the office, @facelessnew12, a user on Twitter pointed out a moment in the fight when Mayweather was rocked and visibly hurt. The fan claimed that the American would perhaps end up getting knocked out if he continues to engage in such exhibition bouts.

“Floyd’s so so washed, he’s gonna get koed doing these stupid exhibitions one day, I cannot wait for it to happen 😘😁🫵JoyceParker #boxing”

Jake Paul bashes Floyd Mayweather over exhibition bouts

Jake Paul called out Floyd Mayweather on social media recently where he claimed that the boxing veteran should stop engaging in exhibition bouts. Mayweather is making millions fighting people who do not have any real experience in boxing.

Paul posted a video on Twitter and trashed Mayweather. The undefeated boxing star has faced Jake’s older brother Logan in the past.

“Alright, ladies and gentlemen, picture this. It’s 2022, and Floyd Mayweather is ruining his legacy fighting no-name guys, wasting his fans’ money, wasting his fans’ time. He doesn’t even know the names of the guys he’s fighting to make some money to pay his tax bills. Floyd telling Jake Paul that you will only fight Jake Paul if he comes down to his weight, 140 pounds or something. I can’t believe what’s going on in the world. I can’t believe this is real.”

Floyd, I will fight you,” Paul added. “And you know that’s one of the biggest fights to make in boxing. I weigh 175, you weigh 165. We can get that done, make a couple hundred million. But what will your excuse be? You didn’t care what my brother weighed, so why do you care what I weigh? Oh, because you know. You know what’s going to happen.”
