Bo Dallas’ Early Life

Bo Dallas went to the Hernando High School and graduated in 2008. During the final two years of high school, he qualified for the state wrestling championships. Dallas also played American football as a defensive tackle.

He received a football scholarship offer from Webber International University in Babson Park, Florida, but he chose wrestling instead.

Bo Dallas’ Early Professional Wrestling Career

Bo Dallas signed the dotted lines with WWE back in 2008. He was assigned to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), which was the developmental territory for WWE back then before it got rebranded as NXT.

Dallas made his in-ring debut in a match against Kaleb O’Neal on November 15, 2008, in a winning effort. Dallas mainly competed on the tag team circuit throughout the early parts of 2009. He was wrestling under his original name back then before getting a new ring name Tank Rotunda in February. The name was later changed to Bo Rotunda in June but it didn’t last long as it was modified to Bo Rotundo.

He began teaming up with his brother Bray Wyatt, who was wrestling under the name Duke Rotundo. They were known as The Rotundo Brothers. They won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship from Justin Angel and Kris Logan. The two brothers held the titles for a few months before losing it to The Dude Busters.

Dallas suffered an injury and upon return, he focused on the singles competition, defeating the likes of Curt Hawkins, and Brodus Clay, among others. His first success as a singles competitor came when he defeated Mason Ryan for the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship. However, he lost the title to Lucky Cannon immediately afterward.

Dallas regained the title after three months, courtesy of a victory against Cannon. He appeared in a number of untelevised matches before RAW and SmackDown whilst holding the title.

Injury and comeback

He was forced to relinquish the title following an injury. It was reported in September 2011 that he had suffered a lacerated kidney. Upon return, he once again teamed with his brother and won the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship for the second time.

They lost the titles eventually to Corey Graves and Jake Carter. Dallas made several appearances in WWE house shows and even defeated Drew McIntyre.

Dallas had won the FCW Florida Heavyweight title for the third time after beating Rick Victor. However, he lost the title just over a month later to the same man.

Bo Dallas’ NXT career

Finally, Rotunda got his ring name Bo Dallas and made his debut on the black and gold brand on June 20, 2012.

Dallas won the NXT Championship by defeating Big E. He also did manage to make a mark by defeating many top stars in the brand.

WWE Stint

Bo Dallas made his main roster debut on the April 7 episode of RAW. He defeated Sin Cara on the night. Dallas went on a winning streak as he defeated the likes of Xavier Woods, R-Truth, Fandango, and more. He also defeated former world champions like The Great Khali, Dolph Ziggler, and Kofi Kingston. Dallas’ impressive winning streak was finally ended by R-Truth.

Dallas had decent feuds with Dolph Ziggler and Mark Henry. He went on to team with Curtis Axel, Adam Rose, and Heath Slater to form a faction known as “Social Outcasts”.

Eventually, Axel and Dallas separated to align themselves with The Miz. The duo of Dallas and Axel were known as The Miztourage. They used to assist The Miz in his matches.

Dallas and Axel eventually turned on the A-lister and became known as The B-Team. They won the RAW Tag Team Championship on one occasion defeating Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy.

24/7 Champion and neck injury before release

Dallas won the 24/7 title after pinning Drake Maverick on the September 3, 2019, episode of SmackDown.

In January 2020, Dallas asked for some time off from WWE. He had also suffered a neck injury which kept him out of action.

Dallas was eventually released by WWE on April 15, 2021, after a 13-year tenure with the Stamford-based company.
