1. Phantasy Star Online 2

9. Halo Infinite

Masterchief returned in late 2021, six years after the release of Halo 5: Guardians, with the highly stunning Halo Infinite. The single-player narrative is amazing, but the multiplayer option is unquestionably the game’s main star. However, given the franchise’s history, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to anyone who has ever played a Halo game. Infinite was well worth the wait, with 22 weapons, a plethora of fantastic levels, and some of the best combat in the series’ history. Crossplay is available on all platforms, though some console gamers are hopeful that an option to stop the feature will be implemented at some point, as they believe PC players have an unfair edge. 10. Apex Legends

In 2019, Respawn’s battle royale swept the congested sub-genre, giving a refined experience with a strategic element thanks to its team-based gameplay. With over 100,000 concurrent players on Steam since then, the game has rarely diminished in popularity. However, when compared to the game’s total userbase, this is a drop in the bucket. Apex Legends supports crossplay, and EA’s website explains how to put it up in detail. Apex Legends also allows for cross-progression across Steam and Origin accounts, however this is the extent of the capability. This means that if someone is playing on the Xbox One, their progress will be lost when they switch to the Nintendo Switch.
