The year 2022 is going to end soon and this year we have witnessed some of the best Anime shows of 2022. There was action, thrill, drama, comedy, and more. With so much Anime this year, it is difficult for many Anime fans to select the best shows. The best anime shows of 2022, in our opinion, are listed below, keeping all the aspects in mind.
Mob Psycho 100: Season 3
A somewhat clueless schoolboy named Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama, who happens to possess incredible psychic powers, is the subject of Mob Psycho 100. In his prepubescent years, Mob meets a regular guy who runs an exorcism business in his neighborhood: Reigen Arataka. As a mentee of Arataka, Mob embarks on a series of adventures.
This season picks up after the seemingly universe-shattering fight at the end of season 2 with Mob Psycho 100 leaning into the absurd but finds its footing as a shonen series that explores the inherent comedy that comes with a child protagonist who possesses godlike powers. However, the giant psychic clash of the second season didn’t end up destroying the entire city, and Mob is once again trying to impress his crush.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
In 2022, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will likely be remembered as one of the top original anime. Taking place in the cyberpunk 2077 universe and the original TTRPG by Mike Pondsmith, the series tells the story of David Martinez, a young street urchin on a quest to become a legend.
As well as its blistering action and memorable characters, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has a fantastic soundtrack, a rich plot, and clever callbacks to Cyberpunk 2077 that expand on Night City’s promise in a way that Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t quite achieve. This might just be Trigger’s best anime ever, too.
Do It Yourself!!
Do It Yourself has carried the cozy genre’s burden so far in Fall 2022. Serufu Yua attends Gatagata Girls’ High School, a traditional school overshadowed by Yuyu Girls’ Vocational High School for Technology in an alternate reality with advanced technology. Serufu, a laid-back student, stumbles upon the Do It Yourself club at her school and joins the club to build a bench for her neighbor.
A couple of new members join the club soon after, and the club must keep from going out of business. With its beautiful color palette and charming characters, Do It Yourself is an anime worth watching. Serufu’s easy-going nature makes her an instantly lovable protagonist, while the other girls are well established throughout the series.
Spy x Family
It is well deserving of being one of the best anime families of the year because it took the anime world by storm. In a series like Spy x Family, action and espionage would be expected, but that isn’t really what it’s about. This dysfunctional family’s interactions as they go about their days and objectives make it enjoyable.
It is easy to appreciate the stunning animation and design of the anime when Studio and CloverWorks are at work. For every hilarious face Anya makes, Loid and Yor add almost as many action moments. Not to mention, their predicament itself screams comedy hijinks. Your favorite part of Spy x Family will be the Forgers and everyone is hoping to see them again in the future. It is definitely one of the best anime shows of 2022.
Chainsaw Man
Orphan Denji, who lives in poverty and fear death, is the main character of Chainsaw Man. As a result of his pet Pochita, a “Chainsaw Devil,” he transforms into a demonic being with chainsaws protruding from his hands, which earns him a well-paying job as a Devil Hunter in a government office.
This gory, gooey mess of an action series has already garnered a dedicated fan following, but how would it translate to animation? What makes the series stand out so far is the animators’ interest in the characters’ everyday lives.
We’re beginning to witness a more dejected side of Fujimoto’s world, whether it is the pointy-ponytail wearing Aki washing clothes and enjoying a cigarette on a peaceful morning or Denji caressing his cute Chainsaw puppy Pochita at night. There is no doubt that this is one of the best anime shows of 2022.
