The Canadian youngster had a great latter half of the season in 2022 and he has continued the good form in the new season as well.

Auger-Aliassime began his Australian open campaign with a win in four sets against Vasek Pospisil. The former bounced back after losing the first set. In the second round, Auger-Aliassime showed great resilience to come back from two sets down to beat Alex Molcan 3-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2. After surviving a couple of scares, the world No. 7 faced Francisco Cerundolo in the third round. Auger-Aliassime won the match in four sets 6-1, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. He has hit a whopping 44 aces in the three matches he has played so far.

Jiri Lehecka

The 21-year-old has made it to the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career. He showed a lot of promise last season and has begun 2023 on a good note.

Lehecka defeated Borna Coric comprehensively in the first round in straight sets 6-3, 6-3, 6-3. He followed it up with another dominant win against Christopher Eubanks in the second round. The match ended in four sets in favor of Lehecka 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. The youngster from the Czech Republic faced 11th seed Cameron Norrie in the third round. The British No. 1 won two out of the first three sets. However, Lehecka made a strong comeback to win the match 6-7 (8-10), 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.

The head-to-head scoreline currently stands at 0-0 as the two players have never crossed paths as yet.
