The Atlanta Braves are one of the oldest franchises in the history of American sports. The team was founded in the year 1871. The Braves currently ply their trade in the East Division of the National League at Truist Park.

They were initially called the Boston Red Stockings since they were found in Boston.

The team, then underwent several name changes. And, in the first half of the 20th century they were known as the Boston Braves. Following their move to Milwaukee in 1953, they were called the Milwaukee Braves.

They came to be known as the Atlanta Braves, only after their move to Atlanta in 1966.

The Braves have won 3 World Series Titles, with their most recent win coming in 1995. Their first win came in the year 1914.

The team has won the East Division titles 15 times, and the West Division – 5 times. Their last division win was in the year 2020.
