Crystal Palace vs Cardiff City Ratings: Palace Player Ratings + Reaction

Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City side were officially relegated from the Premier League as Crystal Palace secured their consecutive away win by a 3-goal margin. They have now won all of their last three away games which has left them in a decent position on the league table itself.

Goals from their key men Wifried Zaha, Andros Townsend and Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi were enough to ensure that Palace left the stadium with all three points. Their dominance was clear to see from the opening minutes of the game itself but Cardiff were able to snatch a couple of goals back and the game ended 3-2 on the night.

The Spanish keeper was an inspired form on the night and he was mostly responsible for limiting Cardiff to two.

The experienced Englishman put in another solid and dependable display from his full-back role.

The ex-Liverpudlian had a moment to forget in the first half as it was his error that led to Cardiff’s equaliser.

As have been his performances all season, the youngster put in another impressive shift in the full-back role.

Controlled the game’s pace from the centre of the park and did well to feed Zaha for their opener.

The Eagles’ midfield commander was in fine form on the night and his set-piece delivery was top class too. 

Andros Townsend 8

The Englishman was Palace’s best player on the pitch despite Zaha stealing the spotlight as usual.

The Premier League veteran struggled to bring the ball under control and looked reluctant to make a bold move.
