AEW Rumors: Bray Wyatt future may not be like with Tony Khan’s promotion

Bray Wyatt might not end up in AEW after his WWE release

A prior report from the Observer (h/t cagesideseats) stated that Dave Meltzer had indicated that Bray Wyatt was heading towards AEW.

Wyatt is still under a non-compete with WWE, so that he couldn’t have negotiated with them.

Dave Meltzer reported that AEW had a third big signing lined up in addition to CM Punk and Bryan Danielson.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer came up with a big name, Windham Rotunda, aka. Bray Wyatt.

Meltzer was quoted as saying.

“It’s most likely happening. It’s at the same stage as Aleister Black long before it happened. I don’t think there’s pen to paper or anything like that, but the expectation is pretty strong, put it that way.”

Contrary to the prior report from the Observer, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp didn’t agree to the fact that Bray Wyatt will be joining AEW.

Sean thinks that even though Wyatt’s contract is in a non-compete clause, he would not end up in AEW.

Rotunda could end up going to Impact, if not AEW

WWE superstar Bray Wyatt of the Wyatt Family, known by the WWE Universe, could go to Impact.

However, Wyatt is still under a non-compete clause which doesn’t allow AEW’s president Tony Khan to extend an offer towards Wyatt.

On the Bryan and Vinny Show (h/t Wrestling News), Bryan stated that he has heard from some people of AEW that Wyatt might not be headed towards AEW, and Bryan Alvarez was quoted as saying that,

“What I think I can safely say is I do not believe it is a guarantee that Bray Wyatt is going to AEW. Maybe he will, maybe he won’t. To me, this is not like CM Punk where . I would not say anything resembling that for Bray Wyatt. I’m not saying it’s not gonna happen, maybe it will but I would put it at much less than 99.9999 percent at this point.”

Time will definitely play its role on this Wyatt issue as fans would have to wait and see that what happens to Rotunda and where he actually ends up going whether it’s AEW, Impact, or some other Independent wrestling circuit. This was the last tweet of Bray Wyatt, which followed his routine of putting up interesting thoughts.
